Established in 1891 to reduce the risk of flooding to people and property. Since then, Reclamation District No. 537's mission is to manage and maintain the levees system along with the drainage and irrigation facilities in an environmentally and economically sound manner in the best interest of the public for future generations.
Reclamation District 537 is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and channels of communication to all members of the public.
